Because A Miracle Has To Be Publicized

Yesterday, I had an interesting challenge that topped off a really big challenge I already have!

This is the little booklet I made, and a pen I brought with me, as I took my broken phone for repair...
This is the little booklet I made, and a pen I brought with me, as I took my broken phone for repair...

First, as I got back home after a phone call meeting, I saw that I got charged for something that I had to sit down and reach out to request for a refund.

Next thing right after that, my phone suddenly made noise, and I hoped it was just the paper in the notebook where I put my phone on top of, while I took it out of the charger.

But no, it kept making that loud noise every time the phone vibrates! I tried putting it in and out of the charger, until I couldn't even turn it off completely! The touch screen isn't working!

It didn't take long for me to figure out, ok, my phone broke.

I have to meet someone, but I can't even message her because my phone is also my internet (provider—via hotspot)! It didn't stop me though.

I started thinking, OK, not everything is lost.

I still have a computer, even without an internet. I still have things to do and things I can do with my computer without the internet. Offline Work mode, here we go again.

Now, I still have an appointment later, and I no way to contact her, except to go to the meeting place, and ask around or wait.

So, I did. I went to the meeting place, and I asked around. It was good that the person I asked—even though he's new there, knew who I was talking about and told me they just left. So, I had to figure out a way to find her where she's staying in the building... but even if I knew... I'm hesitant to knock.

There were staff I knew who I asked. They weren't sure, but I thought, ok, I'm gonna take a risk.

Good thing it's not very late in the evening. I'm sensitive about these things.

I knocked, no response. I knocked again, I was asked from the person inside.

And when the door opened... Voila! It's the person I was supposed to meet!

We spoke at the lobby. I told her about my broken phone.

We had an agreement, a paid service that does involve the use of phone — what doesn't now these days? So I told her what I else I could do since I couldn't say when it would be fixed. So I told her, I could use my laptop. I could go to a cafe nearby and connect to the internet there, and we could do our meetings and sessions through my laptop, no problem.

Also, since she's in town, we could do our sessions in person! She agreed!

So, I got home.

I knew it's gonna be a long night. My phone was just charging when it broke, around 70% or so. I was a little elated when I saw it got down to 53%!

An Evening of Buzzing and a Developed Reflex

I was ready to stay up that night, but I eventually felt tired.

Also, I knew that it's better to keep the routine.

I applied what I learned from an insight, A Divine Spark, that Sleep is Meditation.

They say it's a dream when you're still sleeping.

But it's a vision when you're awake.

I say, Sleep is Meditation

When you're trying to sleep but can't because your thoughts are still running

But when you choose to be the director of your thoughts

You can lead it to imagine things working out

And choose positive thoughts

So, I'll keep my routine

And still try to sleep

And when I can't, I'll meditate instead.

But instead of not being able to sleep because of troubles in my head

I choose what to think and think positive thoughts instead.

I could speak to my heart

And tell it to trust in HaShem

For who can harm me, unless He Himself allows?

I can command my soul to be strong, be calm,

Or I could solve problems in my head

Or imagine and see myself being able to solve problems in the future

And imagine the feeling of things all working out in the end.

I know that HaShem always comes through for me in the end.

Trust. And the sea will split before you.

THE NEXT DAY:

Today is Offline Work Mode

So, I went about the day, typing on Anytype, my go-to Offline Work tool.

Words are flowing.

Insights coming.

I kept typing.

And then I recorded all those buzzing.

It would be interesting, I thought, to tell this story someday.

And it didn't take long, I am already sharing my story!

THE STORY

A Great Miracle

I almost couldn't leave the computer because inspiration kept coming. Baruch HaShem!

Finally, after nourishing my body with food and getting dressed, I headed out.

It's the middle of the day.

Suns out, Charity's out.

I don't mind the heat of the sun.

This is a one-of-a-kind day. What's there to complain about?

Little did I know, a miracle's about to happen...

I went to the repair shop. Good to find one in the mall!

I didn't have the budget for repair yet, but it's good to know where I could have it fixed, in case. And start looking for options if there's a few, and find the best place, in case.

So I gave my phone.

They said it would cost Php 2,000 for a broken screen repair.

It's from a stall in the Electronics shops in Ayala Circuit Mall.

I think there's also a Power Mac Center somewhere in Circuit Mall.

— But as soon as the guy plugged in the charger,

Apple logo came out. He swiped up, and wait...

Do that again... He swiped up again. The screen seems to be responding!

I asked for my phone back.

Wait, what. I put in my code.

It's working!

I turned the Silent Mode button on and off.

What? No clickety-clackety noise?!

Are you telling me it's fixed?!

I was smiling! I told the lady it seems to be working again!

Then she said, yeah, that happens sometimes. She asked me earlier if I dropped it or if it got squooshed. (Naipit ba? in Filipino.) I said no. From her reaction after I said it seems to be working again, it doesn't seem to be the first time. She said it happens. Maybe it was dropped or squooshed. (That's "gan", as in, kindergarten lingo. I don't have another word for "naipit" in English. If you do, please share in the comments! Haha!)

I was so happy and was so elated! I thanked them both and left.

When I got home, I knew I had to tell people about this story.

It's an amazing miracle.

Thank you, HaShem.

I hit record, and by mistake, I recorded on Loom. Which means I could share it here and don't have to edit and download! (Maybe it wasn't a mistake at all...)

Here it is:

At the end of the day,

My phone is fixed again.

Baruch HaShem!

And that's the miracle for today.

—'Til the next one! B"H!
